As the title of this CD suggests, Hank Williams is a true country legend. Back in the late Forties and early Fifties, Hank could do no wrong. In the southern states of America Hank made hit after hit after hit. His personal love life was tragic and a broken heart drove him to drink - and that's when he would write his heartbreaking songs. He lived what he sang about and he became the world's biggest country and western singer. Still to this day most country stars would call Hank Williams 'The King'. Here, in this collection you will hear original recordings of Hank pouring his heart out with such songs as Lovesick Blues, Cold Cold Heart, I'm So Lonesome I Could Cry, There'll Be No Teardrops Tonight, They'll Never Take Her Love From Me, Dear John and Wedding Bells. Hank died on New Year's Day 1952 in the back seat of a car going to a concert. Some say it was the drink others say Hank simply died of a broken heart.
