Definitely one for pipe band enthusiasts. There are now too many entries for the World's Grade One championship so the 6 winners from the previous year get an automatic entry into the final and on the 'early' morning of the big event the other entrants play off for the final 6 places. This probably adds to the spectacle of the final and means that each of the 12 band can play both their MS&R and Medley Selection in the afternoon session. Here are the 2007 Qualifying Heats.
